Suspect Identified in Yorba Linda Slayings [Updated]
[UPDATE | 4:35 p.m. Brea police have identified Eder Giovanni Herrera, 24, as the suspect who was arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a double homicide of a man and woman in Yorba Linda.]
Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call from a man who reported a loud noise from a home coming a home in the 4200 block of Trix Circle.
Sgt. Jim Griffin of the Brea Police Department said that officers arrived at the residence and found blood pooled in the entryway. When officers went to the back of the home, they saw the bodies of a man and a woman through a sliding glass door, police said.
Brea police Lt. Darrin Devereux told The OC Register that the suspect was arrested at a traffic stop around 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Griffin said that the man and woman were renting the home in Orange County and had been living there for about a year. He also said that police obtained a search to examine the areas of the home Wednesday morning.
