Bobby Brown Facing Charges for DUI [Updated]
UPDATE|Wed. Mar. 28, 3:18 p.m. PST: Singer Bobby Brown was charged Wednesday with three counts related to drunken driving.
Brown, ex-husband of late Whitney Houston was released Monday afternoon after posting $5,000 bail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Brown, 43, was arrested around 12:20 p.m. at Wilbur Avenue and Victory Boulevard in Reseda, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Harris.
He was pulled over for talking on his cell phone and then booked on suspicion of driving under the influence after a procedural sobriety test, according to CHP.
The arrest comes a week after the Los Angeles County coroner's office declared Houston's Feb. 11 death an accidental drowning after a cocaine-contributing heart episode.
CHP officials confirm that Brown was taken into custody without resistance.
Brown currently faces one charge each of driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above legal level and driving on a suspended license.
If convicted Brown could face up to six months in jail, according to L.A. City's spokesman, Frank Mateljan.
He is set to appear in court on April 16.
