TEDx Comes to USC
Before the start of the annual TEDx event at USC on Friday, participants had the opportunity to interact and relax in Alumni Park at the RedBull Game and Demo Lounge.

Participants were treated to a lounge setting in the morning hours, featuring food, many living room spaces to lounge, a game lounge and an interactive exhibit highlighting children in war torn regions.
Food vendors included Maria's Italian Kitchen, The Fry Girl, featuring mini-donuts, Chichen Itza Restaurant, demitasse, ChocoVivo and Chewse.
The Tiziano Project curated an exhibit for the lounge, featuring stories of Iraqi young adults, using video and the written word to tell their story.
Participants in the lounge were also able to interact with the new video games created by students and game developers, including a virtual reality game using Kinect software.
This year's theme at USC's TEDx was "A Journey Through Spheres of Influence" and included such innovators as a professor who is an optics pioneer, a medical student helping others, a space doctor and a cyberculturalist. TEDx's goal is to inspire everyday people to make a difference, creating a better world.
TEDx, which first started in 1984, is a nonprofit focusing on spreading ideas and encouraging interaction with technology, entertainment and design worldwide.
