Launchfest Music Festival: Day 2
The Launchfest Music Festival, a first-of-it's-kind music series on campus that is "trying to shift the paradigm of what Christian music can be," continued Tuesday with a performance by J. Thoven.

Lead by singer Jake Pappas, J. Thoven is an indie folk rock group based out of Orange County. To a crowd of students, faculty and campus visitors, the band performed songs from their most recent album, "City Maze." The band matches Launchfest's goal of celebrating live music of all genres and making it available to USC students.
"I've been involved in music my whole life, but making a go out of it for 5 years," said Jake Pappas.
Students attending the festival had only praise for J. Thoven and Launchfest.
"It's been incredible!" said student Josh Seeger. "The bands they have coming out and the musicians, they're insane. They're amazing to hear. I've loved it so far."
The performance took place in front of Tommy Trojan, where a gospel singer was featured Monday and another band will perform on Thursday. The series will culminate in a larger festival on McCarthy Quad Friday at 7:30 p.m.
