Frosted Mini Wheats Recalled For Metal Pieces
Do you know what's in your cereal? If you had a bowl of Kelloggs' Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal this morning, chances are it may have contained metal pieces.
Kelloggs' recalled Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size products on Monday, but most consumers did not find out about it until Thursday. The recall is expected to cost Kelloggs' between $20 to $30 million this quarter.
The cereal released a statement Thursday saying, "Because our number none priority is the quality and safety of our food, as a precautionary measure, Kellogg voluntarily recalled certain packages of Mini-Wheat Bite Size cereal. No other cereals are impacted and there have been no reports of any injuries associated with these foods."
