Newport Beach Police asked the public on Monday for clues to the homicide of local woman who may have been killed by her husband.

Police reported signs of a struggle and “possible foul play” in the family’s million-dollar home in a gated community after 46-year-old Quee “Q.C.”Chadwick went missing last Wednesday.

Husband and local businessman Patrick Chadwick is being held without bail in Orange County Jail, according to jail records. Police have not disclosed why they suspect Chadwick.

Police need help tracing Chadwick’s whereabouts from 7 p.m that Wednesday, when a neighbor called police to check on the welfare of the couple after their three children had not been picked up from school.

Chadwick’s vehicle was impounded Thursday morning near San Diego when he called for assistance. Investigators have not revealed the nature of the call, said police spokeswoman Katy Lowe.

Police released a generic photo of the 2003 Lexus SUV model that Peter Chadwick was driving when his wife went missing last Wednesday. Lowe said the GX470 is champagne colored and has California licenses plate 5CFR352.

Police encourage anyone with information to call (800) 550-NBPD. Anonymous tips will be accepted.
