Giving Tuesday After Thanksgiving Holidays

The holiday season began with Thanksgiving. Next came Black Friday, followed by Cyber Monday, and now there is Giving Tuesday.
#GivingTuesday is a holiday designed to provide an opposite of the commercial holidays preceding it: instead of searching for deals and buying goods, participants are encouraged to give back and donate to charities.
Over 2,100 partners are listed on Giving Tuesday's website as of Monday, including corporations, schools, nonprofits, and religious groups.
The organizers are asking partners to collect data of how many donations they receive Tuesday, how many people volunteered at an event, or additional relevant information.
People interested in participating in Giving Tuesday are encouraged to check the Giving Tuesday twitter (@GivingTuesday) for events in their areas.
