Abe Markowitz: "I love USC and I Want to Play Another Year"
The Trojans are all set to play in this years Hyundai Sun Bowl, on Dec. 31. But while most seniors are getting set to graduate and/or declare for the NFL Draft, one Trojan is fighting his way to play just one more year.
USC senior center Abe Markowitz has applied for a sixth year of eligibility with the NCAA, in hopes of playing one more year of college football. Markowitz walked on to the team and earned his scholarship in 2010. After senior center Khaled Holmes went out, due to injury, Markowitz received the starting position this year.
Unfortunately, USC head coach Lane Kiffin said earlier this week that if Markowitz is granted a sixth year of eligibility, he did not have a scholarship for him, and he might have to go somewhere else to play.
We talked to Markowitz about why he wants to return to USC, and if he's willing to pay in order to play.
