Remembering Murdered San Bernardino Deputy
The funeral service for San Bernardino County Sheriff's Det. Jeremiah McKay is expected to bring together thousands of people in San Bernardino Thursday morning.
MacKay was killed last week during a shootout with ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner. He was one of four people murdered during Dorner's killing spree.
The funeral is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the San Manuel Amphitheater in the San Bernardino neighborhood of Devore.
San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon will deliver MacKay's eulogy in the amphitheather that sits 65,000 people.

McKay was a 15-year veteran of the department who worked in Big Bear and Yucaipa. He was actively involved in the search for Dorner in the Big Bear mountains.
He leaves behind a 7-year-old step-daughter, a 4-month-old son and his wife, Lynette Quinata MacKay. He lived in Redlands, Calif.
Officials say a private ceremony will be held afterwards for the family.
