Online Dating Becomes More Specialized
Online dating has evolved, and now sites are available for people of all interests.
Whether you are looking for a man with a moustache or a woman who drives a tractor - the Internet can connect you with your ideal mate.
“Everybody’s using technology to connect and if you’re not using technology to connect then you’re really separating yourself out and limiting the pool available to you," said Orna and Matthew Walters, a married couple who also work as dating counselors.
One such niche dating site online is FarmersOnly.com - which connects farmers and those interested in dating them.
“I think [niche sites] great," said Matthew Walters. "I think if you can find someone you’re interested in...get on several and that way you’re really maximizing your opportunity to meet people.”
Not all agree that online dating is a good idea. Relationship counselor David Wygant said online dating is for the old and frustrated.
"I’m old school. You meet somebody you get a phone number and you call them and go out with them," advised Wygant.
