Suspect Arrested, Other At Large In Northridge Kidnapping
A suspect connected to last week's kidnapping and sexual assault of a 10-year-old Northridge girl is behind bars today.

Los Angeles Police Detectives arrested 29-year-old Daniel Martinez early Sunday morning in the 18200 block of Rayen St. in Northridge for his connection with the March 27 kidnapping. They've set his bail at $1,000,000.
A second suspect, 30-year-old Tobias Dustin Summers, is still at large. According to LAPD officials, Summers may have fled to the San Diego area and changed his appearance by shaving his head.
Summers is considered a San Fernando Valley transient with a lengthy criminal record. He is a white male weighing around 160 lbs. with blue eyes, short blond hair, and a large flaming skull tattoo that covers most of his right arm.
Summers has a lengthy rap sheet going back to 2002, and was released from custody last July in an effort to relieve prison overcrowding. He has served in prison for crimes including kidnapping, explosives possession and petty theft, according to police officials.
Summers and Martinez are accused of kidnapping a 10-year-old girl from her Northridge home early Wednesday morning on March 27. She was dropped off later the same day just before 3:00 p.m. and was found at a nearby Starbucks wearing different clothes than those she was reported to be wearing when she disappeared.
Police told the Los Angeles Times Thursday that the young girl had been sexually assaulted and described the girl as having "a traumatic experience." They also said the girl as taken to multiple locations in different vehicles.
Anyone with information about Tobias Summers is urged to contact the Robbery Homicide Detective tip line at (213) 486-6890. Anyone observing Summers is urged to call 911 immediately.
