Garcetti Introduces City's Cyber Attack Prevention Plan

Mayor Garcetti revealed a new plan Wednesday aimed at preventing future cyber attacks.

Mayor Eric Garcetti announced plans Wednesday that would increase precautionary measures to reduce cyber attacks on the city.

The plan involves implementing a new command center in Los Angeles where the FBI and Secret Service will help standardize protocol for preventing and reacting to digital attacks.

Garcetti said cyber attacks have the capability to shut down any city service run on a digital system -- his primary focus will be protecting the city's port and airport.
