Westwood Residents React to Government Shutdown
Following the government shutdown, business appeared to be slower than usual at the federal building in Westwood Tuesday.
Many employees were told to stay home, and people who showed up looking for government services were worried and even angered by the worker furloughs.
"It was scary as I drove here this morning and heard on the radio as I was driving here that the passport office might be shut down today and I might not be able to get my passport," Westwood resident Sherie Zander said.
The L.A. county CEO says that the county will continue operating normally, and that the government shutdown should not have any significant impact on the county.
