City Councilman Mitch O'Farrell, whose district includes Historic Filipinotown, led his colleagues in a moment of silence for victims of Typhoon Haiyan on Tuesday.

O'Farrell, who has been encouraging his community to donate to relief funds, also introduced a resolution supporting temporary protected status for Filipino nationals living in the United States.
