Keck School Receives Donation for Alzheimers Research
Medical benefactor Selim Zilkha gave five million dollars Tuesday to the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine to fund Alzheimers Research.
The amount of people suffering from Alzheimers is expected to triple during our lifetime.
This donation brings Zilkha's total giving to neuroscience research at the Keck School to more than thirty million dollars.
The Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute at USC was built with his twenty million dollar gift to the Keck School in 2002, and he gave another five million dollar donation in 2011.
