Families Of Deported Immigrants Plea For Immigration Reform
Family members of deported immigrants gathered at a community center in Van Nuys Tuesday to urge President Obama to pass immigration reform.
Guadalupe Gonzalez' father was deported two years ago. He passed away last October.
"He died of sadness," she said. "And because of that, we will never be able to see him again or even say 'I love you, daddy.'"
Hermandad Mexicana Transnacional organized the event in the hopes that by raising awareness they will be able to put an end to deportation.
This is such appallingly shameless propaganda organized by the Open Borders aficionados. It'd be laughable if not for the fact that mass media and elected officials who are supposed to represent Americans, not foreigners, have bought into all this. No. 1 - No parents have to be separated from their kids. All family can be united in their country of origin. No. 2 - American children with foreign parents is a situation that could only have been created by a country that has lost all sense of reason and has abdicated Democratic rule. It's a gross misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment that has gotten us here. Just because a foreign woman gives birth on U.S. soil should be no reason for that child to have instant U.S. citizenship. This absurdity has created the absurdity of "birth tourism," wherein rich Chinese and others specifically travel to the U.S. on tourist visas with the express purpose of giving birth to a U.S. baby. Birthright citizenship needs to be addressed.
