LACC Offers 50,000 Dollar Reward in Murder Case

After exhausting leads in the murder of Atilio-Benavides, the LAPD is hoping for more information from the community.

The Los Angeles City Council announced Wednesday that it is offering a 50,000 dollar reward for information leading to the persons believed to be responsible for the November murder of Atilio Benavides-Amaya, 40.

During the press conference, new photos of the suspects (seen above) were released. Investigators hope this will encourage more leads from the community.

Atilio Benavides-Amaya had just left work when he was killed on Nov. 6 at 8:15 p.m. in Pico-Union, according to the LAPD.

Police describe the suspects as two black males in their twenties. They may have gotten into a black SUV after the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the LAPD Rampart Division at (213) 484-3639. Anonymous tips can be made through Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
