The shooting happened at 57th and Hoover, according to police. An LAPD official told ATVN that the shooting was "not near the USC campus. It was a car-to-car shooting. The victim was dropped off near the campus."

The LAFD was called to the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital.

The victim is in stable condition.

Officials said the crime appeared to be gang-related and USC was not involved in any way.

Police say the suspect is a black male between 20-30 years old. His car is described as a 4-door car.
