Women's Golf Tournament Streak Snapped
The No. 1 USC women's golf team finished second at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans on Friday.
The loss snaps a school-record and national-best eight-tournament win streak. The defending NCAA champion Trojans, who finished the 2013 season with three straight wins and began the 2014 slate with five more victories.
The Women of Troy have now won 11 of their past 13 events and 12 of the past 15.
Still despite a minor set back, USC is ranked once again No. 1 for the 12th time in a row. The Women of Troy have ranked in the top 5 for the 20th time in a row.
USC breaks the longest streak of top 10 appearances for any women's program since the poll resumed in 2001-02.
