UPDATED: Biker Hit on 28th Street Not a USC Student

The biker was transported to the hospital immediately.

UPDATE|Wednesday, March 5: According DPS, the biker was not a USC student.

LAPD said one person was hit by a car while biking down the row late Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened on the 700 block of 28th Street near the ATO and Fiji houses.

LAPD said they got a call at 4:15 in the afternoon Tuesday requesting a rescue ambulance and backup from the fire department.

The biker was transported immediately to the hospital while the driver stayed behind at the scene of the accident to speak with officers.

One student who witnessed the accident said he was shaken up by what he saw. He knows the driver and wished to remain anonymous.

LAPD is still investigating the incident. THey say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
