Reward Doubled in Hit and Run Case of UCLA Graduate
A 100,000 dollar reward is being offered for any information about the hit and run death of 23-year-old UCLA graduate David Pregerson.
"I find myself at a loss for words when something like this strikes so close to home," said Dean Pregerson, the victim's father.
Los Angeles City Council approved a motion to double the family's 50,000 dollar reward offer.
City Councilman Mike Bonin spearheaded the reward motion as Pregerson's friends proactively searched for answers.
"They're young. They're in their early 20s. They're tech savvy," said Bonin. "They've been spreading the word looking for tips. They've gone door to door, and they've reviewed surveillance footage of nearby homes."
Pregerson's father believes the perpetrator is a young person and wants he or she to come forward.
"We are prepared to be compassionate, urge understanding," said Pregerson. "But only if you come forward."
