Grocery Giveaway Assists Families in Need

A local church hosted a grocery giveaway Wednesday to help families who have trouble affording the high cost of food.

The Concord Church of Los Angeles joined forces with Hurting and Hungry Ministry, the National Action Network and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to giveaway bags of groceries to local residents.

Recipients have to bring a photo ID and fill out an application that includes proof of income to get their groceries. Concord Church hosts grocery giveaways every week.
