No. 1 Women's Water Polo Dominate Hartwick 21-5
The No. 1 USC women's water polo team faced No. 19 Hartwick at home on Thursday. It was a fairly easy win for the Women of Troy as they dominated the Hawks 21-5.
USC had 10 different scorers and were led by driver Stephania Haralabidis who scored four goals.
Although the Women of Troy held the Hawks to just five goals, some players felt that they can still improve on defense.
"There's some defensive errors of course with these kind of games," said junior 2-meter Eike Daube, "but at least it prepared us for this weekend."
The Women of Troy are already looking ahead to their match versus No. 3 Stanford on Sunday. This is a rematch of last year's national championship game where USC came out victorious.
USC will head up North this weekend, but before taking on Stanford they will take on No. 8 San Jose State.
