Akon Visits USC

R&B Hip-hop singer Akon visited USC Wednesday to hear students present marketing ideas for the One Campaign.

The One Campaign is an organization that is taking action to fight extreme poverty in Africa. They work to add electricity to homes, help economic development and work with activists.

Akon works closely with the campaign and visited campus to hear social media ideas presented by students in an international relations class.

Students had the chance to present their ideas to Akon and get feedback from the singer.

Akon said since the visit was so successful, he hopes the One Campaign will visit other universities in the future.
