Hip-Hop Power Couple Headed to Pasadena
The Pasadena City Council unanimously approved a sixth concert for the Rose Bowl to host this Summer featuring hip-hop power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce.
Rose Bowl officials believe it will bring much needed revenue to the city.
Jay-Z and Beyonce's show will mark the most concerts in the stadium's history. The concet is set to take place in early August, but it has not been officially announced by promoter Live Nation.
Rosebowl CEO and GM Darryl Dunn said the events of the size will revitalize the Rose Bowl and bring revenue to Pasadena.
Pasadena is expected to earn nearly 400,000 dollars from each of the six concerts this Summer.
An ordinance in Pasadena limits the Rose Bowl to 12 large scale events per year, but the city council can approve more.
The Rose Bowl is currently set to host 18 events in 2014.
