Cowtown Singles Square Dance Club Isn't Just About The Dancing

Square dancing is a fun way to exercise for the members of this club in Riverside but to them, it's much more than that.

The Cowtown Singles Square Dance Club in Riverside is more than just a fun activity on a Friday night for its members.

It's a place for them to get together and enjoy each other's company.

There are dances on the first and third Fridays of every month, and in between those dances, there are square dance classes that the members are able to take.

They spend a lot of time not only on the dance floor but also off.

"We have a lot of extra activities. We go to ball games, we go to plays and we go as a group. It's good to have a social life," said Betty Lawyer, the president of the Cowtown Singles Club.

The club has about 70 members in it.
