College: “Don’t Try to Force it if You Can’t Afford it”

Student debt hits an all-time high.

After leaving college many graduates can look forward to new jobs, real world experiences, and college debt. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, federal student loans have now surpassed one trillion dollars.

Roberto Rodriguez, who graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2013, said student loans are like “a constant little monkey on your back.” While obtaining his degree in literature, Rodriguez worked in hopes of paying off some of his debt.

As tuition continues to increase, many college graduates find it more and more challenging to pay off their student loans.  University of Southern California’s financial aid office offers the largest scholarship pool in the country.

Two-thirds of USC students are on financial aid.
