USC Prepares for Cross Country Trip to Boston College
No. 9 USC football (2-0) defeated conference-rival Stanford last weekend, but the Trojans focus is towards their next matchup against Boston College (1-1).
True freshman utility player Adoree Jackson has been a part of all facets in the Trojan game plan, seeing time on offense, defense and special teams. The jack-of-all-trades discusses his comfort level adjusting to the college game heading into his third career start as well as the pressure the defense faces playing without suspended senior linebacker Hayes Pullard.
Pullard will be replaced during his first half suspension for a targeting penalty he was charged with during the game against Stanford by sophomore Michael Hutchings. Hutchings explains that he is ready to step-in during the captain's absence and how the team remains focused during the long travel.
Junior defensive lineman Leonard Williams was awarded PAC-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for his 11-tackle performance, while playing on a sprained ankle. The potential Heisman candidate talks about what winning the award means to him and his health heading into this weekend.
First year head coach Steve Sarkisian will undergo his first cross country trip with his new team and shares that the USC game plan does not change just because of a long travel.
The Trojans will kick off in Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Saturday against the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m.
