Zero Emission Vehicles Showcased to Help Fight Air Pollution
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) held a public meeting in Diamond Bar at 10 a.m Thursday to discuss incentive-based emission reduction measures in the San Joaquin Valley.
Speakers included the chairwoman of ARB, Mary Nichols, and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner and the Deputy Secretary of the Maryland Department of the Environment, Kathy Kiney.
After the meeting, the board showcased a collection of zero-emission vehicles from an electric Harley Davidson motorcycle to a Tesla model D and Mercedes B class EV.
According to ARB’s website, the board was established by California Legislature in 1967 with goals to maintain healthy air quality, research the causes and solutions of air pollution, and work to fight pollution caused by motor vehicles.
