Django Unchained Actress Speaks at USC
Django Unchained actress and USC graduate Daniele Watts spoke about racial profiling, civil rights and sexual expression at the USC Gould School of Law Monday.

Watts is raising awareness about these issues in light of her recent misdemeanor lewd conduct charges, filed against her and her boyfriend Brian Lucas. The pair was questioned by LAPD after what officers describe as complaints about indecent behavior.
In an opinion piece for the L.A. Times, Watts said she believed the incident was racially charged.
Watts led the panel discussion Monday afternoon.
During the panel, she spoke about her childhood experiences with racism. She said it taught her to work twice as hard to exceed others' expectations.
USC professors Michelle Gordon, Shana Redmond, Camille Gear Rich and Diana Williams were also present.
