Today the nation honors the men and women that have sacrificed so much in order to keep us safe. Today businesses around the Los Angeles area are offering special discounts and freebies to all those that have fought and are fighting for the country.

All California State Parks are offering free admission to all veterans, active and reserve military personnel. After a day at a California State Park, Veterans can make their way to California Pizza Kitchen. The restaurant has a special Veteran’s Day menu, where veterans will be able to choose from a variety of meals for free.

Applebee’s and Chili’s will also be offering free meals for veterans and active military from a special menu. After eating, you can head over to Sport Clips, where at participating locations, veteran and active duty service members can receive free haircuts.

So you’ve just had a great meal, and your hair is looking great, where do you go next? Veterans and active duty can get a free tall, brewed coffee at Starbucks. Their spouses can get one as well.

Finally, after all that eating and drinking, head on over to 24-hour Fitness. The gym is offering free use of its health club to veteran and active duty military personnel.
