Protesters Gather In Leimert Park

Hundreds of protesters walked from South LA to Downtown, blocking streets.

Hundreds of protesters gathered at the corner of Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Blvd less than 24 hours after Missouri's grand jury decision on the shooting of Michael brown. The march proceeded down Martin Luther King Blvd., continued on Figueroa Street and ended at the LAPD headquarters in Downtown LA. Hundreds of these shouted, "No peace, no justice" and "Hands up," sparking attention to drivers and incoming traffic. Police followed the crowd and temporarily blocked them from entering.
