Randall Telfer: "It's a Tough Loss"
The No. 19 USC football team (7-4, 6-3) fell to crosstown rival No. 9 UCLA 38-20 Saturday night at the Rose Bowl, making it three straight years the Bruins have gotten the best of the Trojans. After the game, redshirt senior tight end Randall Telfer admitted he was shocked by the results and gave possible reasons for the poor level of play, such as possible youth and inexperience issues.
Telfer stayed by his team, saying that he is proud of the fight that they put into the game until the very last second, but mentions that it's tough to see his teammates with their heads down and not being able to pump them back up. The veteran player asserts that the problems the line faced, including when he was on blocking assignments, will be fixed for their next game.
Telfer will play in his final home game alongside the rest of the Trojans as they are in action vs the Fighting Irish Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with gametime set for 12:30 p.m.
