LAPD Investigates Lincoln Heights Hit-And-Run

Surveilence video shows two young boys, one now hospitalized, caught in a hit-and-run in Lincoln Heights.

A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition at the LA County-USC Medical Center after being injured in a hit-and-run incident in Lincoln Heights.

Surveillance video of a hit-and-run incident in Lincoln Heights shows two young boys being hit by an unidentified, dark vehicle. In the video, the driver appeared to swerve, trying to avoid the two boys, but did end up hitting them.

According to LAPD Officer Palma, in addition to driving under the 30 mph speed limit, the driver should have gone slower than usual due to the heavy rain.

There have not been previous incidents at the intersection, Officer Palma said. LAPD is currently leading investigations on who the driver is.

LAPD urges the community to help out in the search for the driver. If anyone has any information regarding the incident investigation please call the LAPD at (213) 833-3713 or Det. Felix Padilla at (213) 486-0753.
