Nelson Agholor Declares for 2015 NFL Draft

Agholor decides to go pro after a record-breaking season with the Trojans.

USC junior wide receiver Nelson Agholor has officially declared for the 2015 NFL Draft.

"These past three years at USC have been a blessing, along with a lot of my life. I am very grateful to have had th coaches and staff members of this prestigious university in my life. Because of these men and women, I feel prepared to follow my dreams into the NFL," said Agholor. "Thank you to the Trojan Family for allowing me to become one of your own."

USC head coach Steve Sarkisian offered his support for Agholor's decision.

"All of us at USC thank Nelson for all he has done here. He had an outstanding career and will always be a Trojan. We wish him the best and look forward to watching him at the next level," said Sarkisian.

USC Athletic Director Pat Haden also showed his support for Agholor.

"Thanks to Nelson Agholor for all he did for our program. Great player, better person. Fight on," Haden tweeted.

This season, Agholor had 104 receptions for 1,313 yards and 12 TD's. His 104 receptions ranks third in school history for single-season receptions. He also had a school-record four punt returns for touchdowns this season. Agholor also became the first USC receiver to have consecutive 200-yard games against Washington State and California in 2014.

In his three-year career at USC, he had 179 catches for 2,571 yards and 20 TD's. He had 37 punt returns. Overall, he had 3,572 all-purpose yards and 24 all-purpose TD's. Agholor is the only Trojan to rank among USC's career Top 8 receivers and Top 7 punt returners.

Agholor is the second potential NFL-bound Trojan to declare for the NFL Draft. Junior defensive end Leonard Williams declared for the draft earlier this week. Redshirt junior tailback Javorius 'Buck' Allen could make a decision soon.

The 2015 NFL Draft will take place from April 30 through May 2, 2015.
