Rini Sampath Elected USG President

Rini Sampath and Jordan Fowler are the first double female ticket to take office in USC and Pac-12 history.

Rini Sampath and Jordan Fowler will be the USG President and Vice President for the 2015 school year.  The results of the Undergraduate Student Government election were announced Tuesday night to a conference room full of supporters.

This year's election was due to be historic:  it was the first time in USC and Pac-12 history that two women, Sampath and competitor Providence Illisevich, ran for USG President.  Sampath's election marks the first time a woman has been elected to the office in nearly ten years.

Sampath and Fowler have both previoulsy held positions in USG, Sampath as Vice President and Fowler as the USG Director of Student Affairs.  They campaigned on a platform of increasing access to students with disabilities, providing housing to Spring Admits, and creating a Greek Row Bill of Rights.
