USC Football Spring Season in Full Bloom
The USC football team began spring practices Tuesday and the team is already looking forward to a productive 2015 campaign. Heading into Thursday's practice, it was just the second time that the early enrollee freshman to strap on the pads as a part of the Trojan squad and are already making an impact. Wide receiver Issac Whitney is looking poised to fill a gap in the receiving corp, as Nelson Agholor and George Farmer left for the NFL Draft, and Cameron Smith is set to take over in the linebacker position.
Linebackers Jabari Ruffin and Lamar Dawson talked after practice Thursday about being aggressive on defense and being back on the gridiron after a two month hiatus. USC, who is projected to be in several College Football Playoff brackets by pundits, will kick off its regular season September 5 against Arkansas State at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
