USC Sand Volleyball Opens Season

The USC women's sand volleyball team with serve up a new season Thursday as the team makes its debut against a newly formed Texas Christian University squad in Merle Norman Stadium. The Women of Troy, coming off a 23-3 campaign in 2014 that ended with a loss in the AVCA national semifinals, are eager to get back on the sand and pave the way for this year's success.

Facing a team that has never played before comes with its challenges, but sophomore Sara Hughes says she isn't concerned with the Horned Frogs as long as the Women of Troy stick to their level of play. USC and TCU will kick off their seasons with a 5:00 p.m. start.
