USC Women's Rowing Heads South

The Women of Troy launch their season in San Diego Saturday.

The USC women's rowing team will hit the water for its first competition of the spring at the 42nd San Diego Crew Classic Saturday. Senior Elizabeth Turner is ecstatic to get back into the swing of the season and is optimistic about the Women of Troy's chances of succeeding.

In last year's San Diego Crew Classic, USC captured three top-place finishes, including a V8 win that claimed the team's fourth straight Jessop-Whittier Cup. The boats launch early Saturday morning and races continue through Sunday.
