One Dead, Four Injured After Shooting Spree In Palms

A shooting spree in Palms left four people injured and one dead.

LAPD were dispatched to a park in Culver City on Thursday after two people were shot. One of the victims was injured, while the other was pronounced dead.

Residents gathered around the scene, saying that gun shots are what brought them out of their homes. LAPD says that just ten minutes after the first shots were fired, two more people were shot at a small shopping center nearby.

LAPD says that the investigation is ongoing and that they are trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.  Officers say the elements linking the two crimes are proximity and nature of the crimes committed, though it is unknown if the shootings are related.
