No. 1 Women of Troy Win PAC-12

The USC women's tennis team wins its 11th conference championship with comeback victory over UCLA.

The No. 1 USC women's tennis team (21-2, 10-0) capped off a perfect PAC-12 season and captured the conference title Thursday in come from behind fashion against No. 5 UCLA at Marks Stadium. Midway through the match, the Women of Troy trailed the rival Bruins 3-0 until senior captain Zoe Scandalis turned momentum to Troy's favor. Scandalis secured a 6-2, 7-6 victory that propelled freshman Meredith Xepoleas and junior Giuliana Olmos into strong comeback three-set wins. With the score tied, freshman Madison Westby used the home court advantage to fuel her run as she capped off a 5-7, 7-6, 6-4 win that brought home the title for USC.

The PAC-12 title is the program's 11th championship and first time since 2013. Next up for the Women of Troy is a trip to Ojai, California to take part in the PAC-12 Championships.
