No. 3 Women of Troy Celebrate Seniors
The No. 3 USC women's water polo team (20-2, 3-1) will celebrate senior day as it closes out its home schedule against No. 8 San Jose State Saturday. The Women of Troy are coming off of a 6-5 come from behind road victory over the No. 4 California Golden Bears, where USC all-time leading scorer Monica Vavic posted a hat trick to led the Women of Troy. The senior scorer, whose father Jovan Vavic is the head coach of both the USC men's and women's water polo programs, spoke about heading into senior day and not wanting her time to end at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
Following the game with the Spartans, the Women of Troy will head to Westwood, California to take on the UCLA Bruins, a team they lost to 5-3 earlier in the season. USC and San Jose State will jump into the pool in the home finale for a 4:00 p.m. start Saturday.
