Juju Smith-Schuster: "We had to come out Strong"

Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster quieted the Sun Devil crowd with a first play, 52-yard catch.

The No. 19 USC football team (3-1, 1-1) traveled to Tempe, Arizona and knocked off Arizona State (2-2, 0-1) in the first road game of the season for the Trojans Saturday night, 42-14. In the win, sophomore wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster posted 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five catches.

After the game, Smith-Schuster discussed the importance of being able to quiet the rambunctious Sun Devil Stadium crowd from the beginning and how he was able to pull apart an ASU defense that came into the game ranked atop the PAC-12 in pass defense. Smith-Schuster also detailed both of his scoring plays, explaining the coverage he saw and how he was able to manipulate the proper space to allow him to tack on points to the scoreboard.

The Trojans will be back in action after a bye week to take on the University of Washington Huskies at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum October 8.
