Sports SCene: Anthony Sarao In-Studio; Soccer Strikes for Success

Senior linebacker Anthony Sarao joins the Sports SCene crew to breakdown USC's 42-14 victory over Arizona State.

Episode 3 kicks off on a positive note, as the Trojans bounced back from their first loss of the season to their first commanding conference victory against Arizona State. From the upstart defense and their turnovers to the sheer absurdity of Adoree’ Jackson, hosts Keely Eure and Kristen Lago take a look at what stood out from the Trojans’ dominating duel in the desert

They also look ahead to the bye week that comes at an opportune time for the Trojans to fine tune and improve upon their run defense and overall performance ahead of a tougher schedule.

For an even closer look at the performance of the USC defense, and the team as a whole, we welcome linebacker Anthony Sarao into the studio who talks to Keely about the first month of the season and assesses the Trojans performance as well as his own development as both a leader and a player. Where does USC go next?

The Pac-12 was a whirlwind of blowouts this past weekend, and in one way or another the results will affect USC going forward into this season. Aaron Glazer joins Kristen Lago to discuss what stood out from around the Pac and how important these results are to the larger picture of the conference.

We go from football to futbol, as Keely talks to correspondents Jackson Safon and Cooper Perkins about the women’s soccer team who are on a three-game winning streak, readying themselves for upcoming conference play. The panelists take a look at some of the standout players so far, including talented sophomore midfielder Sydney Johnson.
