ATVN Goes To The White House

USC student Rachel Scott got to filter her way through the White House for the White House Instameet event.

Instagram celebrated its 12th Worldwide Instameet at the White House on Saturday. The White House staff invited a select group of instagrammers from all over the world to come to the White House for an exclusive tour. Out of all of the applicants, USC student, Rachel Scott made the cut and was the only college student selected to take part in the event.

She was among a group of other instagrammers who filtered through the White House to share its history, art and architecture. After receiving tips from Pete Souza, the White House’s official photographer, Souza led the group through each room in the East Wing and of course, invited them take photos with their phones and cameras on the way. The event is part of a series of engagement events that invite citizens around the country to engage with the government.
