Sports SCene: Rivalry Week; Gary Klein and Ryan Abraham In-Studio

There's nothing like rivlary week at USC, and this week's Sport SCene has all you need to get ready for UCLA and more. 

Call it rivalry Week, Troy Week or UCLA Week, this week’s SportSCene episode has all you need to know headed into one of the biggest times on the USC sports calendar. 

What are the keys for the Trojans to be able to break the Bruins’ three-game winning streak in the crosstown matchup? Hosts Keely Eure and Connor McGlynn have your official UCLA game preview, as the Trojans will vie for a berth to the Pac-12 title game. 

A magnanimous matchup like this one requires a look at some of the key matchup that could define this game. Paolo Uggetti joins Connor at the monitor to see how running back USC’s defense can contain Paul Perkins and how the play of each team’s offensive line will be of utmost importance on Saturday. 

Keely is then joined by special guests Gary Klein from the LA Times, and Ryan Abraham of uscfootball.com to discuss the team’s current mindset and how they think the UCLA game will impact the imminent coaching search. 

For a look at how the rivalry is impacting sports other than football, Jodee Sullivan is here to take stock of at the current standings in the Crosstown Cup at this time. 

And of course, before moving forward to this week’s big game, Beverly Pham provides us with an analysis of which school has the edge in every aspect of the storied rivalry. 

Alexa Palermo has your weekly social media update, as USC kicked off rivalry week with its annual Conquest festival on Monday night. 

Roundup the rest of USC sports news this week with Kristen Lago who takes a look at the ongoing action for men’s basketball, women’s soccer, men’s water polo and women’s volleyball.
