Elyse is an Producer for MSNBC covering the Republican side of the 2016 election. She is based in Washington, DC.
She moves to (back) to DC after a brief stint in NYC working for NBC's Original Video team. There she wrote, shot and edited original content for digital. This meant producing a variety of videos, from how to curl your hair (5 of them, really!) to how ISIS recruits women. Prior to that, she worked on the transportation, consumer affairs and federal agencies beat in Washington, D.C.
She got her start in the Los Angeles Bureau working mostly on Nightly News and the Today Show stories - researching stories, field producing, and writing/shooting/editing web segments. She also produced segments for Weekend Nightly News and Weekend Today Show.
Elyse graudated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and minors in Political Science and International Relations.
She was born and raised in Los Angeles and and has been a USC fan her whole life. She loves going to the beach and misses the perfect LA weather on the East Coast.
