Two Dead in Murder-Suicide at Riverside County High School

A man and woman are dead following an apparent murder-suicide shooting in the parking lot of Patriot High School in Jurupa, located in Riverside County. No students were injured.

The shooting occurred Wednesday morning at Patriot High School.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said the shooting occurred at 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday. The school was placed on lockdown while Sheriff's inverstigators searched the campus. No students were unaccounted for and they are being released throughout the afternoon in three phases.

The woman who was found dead worked as a volunteer at the school. Police have not released any information about the man involved. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

Jurupa is about 50 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
