USG Presidential Candidate Profile: Theo and Julia
As election season draws near, ATVN will be profiling the three presidential and vice presidential candidates for USG.
We begin with Theo Offei and Julia Riley. The two consider themselves the underdogs in the race, but they say they're ready to represent the school and start making a difference.
"Everything is collaboration," Offei said. "We will build a stronger relationship in getting this stuff done."
Running-mate Riley commented on their plans to increase studying opportunities.
"We should be able to find study places at any time of the day,” said Riley. ”Doheny is a beautiful library and every student should get the opportunity to study in there when they like. We'd like to extend those hours, help everyone out with their academics and allow them to study in a beautiful place."
Riley also plans on giving back to the community by representing the student body and giving them a voice.
"We are the most diverse candidates running in this election and I think that reflects our general goal which is to include various groups on campus that maybe haven't had as much attention from USG as they should,” said Riley.
