Thanksgiving Gas Prices Higher than Last Year
While the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gas in Los Angeles County may have decreased Tuesday for the for the 42nd consecutive day, those driving over the Thanksgiving holiday will still be paying about four cents more per gallon than the same time last year.

"I don't really care about the gas price," said senior Judy Chen. "I would still travel no matter what." Chen will be driving up to northern California over Thanksgiving Weekend.
Gas cost around $3.829 Tuesday, the lowest amount since July 27. This average price is 6.7 cents less thant it was a week ago and 69 cents less than a month ago. The 42-day streak is the longest since the 57-day streak that ended back on July 13.
"The gas prices aren't really affecting my Thanksgiving plans," said Curtis Moses, a music industry major. Moses plans on driving home to Victorville.
"Either way, I'm just glad to see that gas prices are dropping," explained Moses.
Orange County's average price has decreased over the past 43 days by 90.2 cents. Around 3.37 million southland residents will be on vacation this week, according to a report by the Automobile Club of Southern California. According to the report, 87 percent of those will be traveling by car.
"It's definitely a lot better than before. I understand if it doesn't go down anymore than this," said Alice Ho, a Business Major at USC. "I sure don't want it to go up again. "The lowered gas prices made me consider roadtripping instead of flying," explained Ho.
